better yet, come look inside
me is my plea;
what you may find is something
more meaningful than your eyes
on the outside are able to see.

An inconsolable invitation made by
so many, but accepted by so few —
possibly fear is the answer, afraid that
in doing so, they may reveal themselves
to you.

How lucky are those who are willing
to make a commitment and take a stance,
to open up, to expose and be exposed —
for they have found the rewards far
greater than the chance.
